Prior to my beginning the Liza's Reef paintings, the  majority of my paintings were  imaginary scenes of interstellar space, and my art during that period of my life was often referred to as 'Visionary Abstraction". "Fantasy" was another good description of this genre since at no time did I attempt to reproduce actual starscapes or celestial objects.
